Pixel Pals privacy policy

Last updated 21 October 2026. App: com.custombglass.pixelpals

Summary

Progress, purchases and settings are saved on your iPhone only. There are no accounts and no servers of ours, so we never see this data. Deleting the app deletes it.

Adverts

Unless you buy Remove Ads, Pixel Pals shows a small banner advert from Google AdMob on the Play, Shop, Pets and Goals screens, never in games or the house.

Adverts are non-personalised. The app does not ask to track you and does not use your advertising identifier. To show, limit and measure adverts and to prevent fraud, Google may still collect your IP address and the approximate location it gives, device type, iOS and app version, which adverts were shown and tapped, and crash data from the advert code.

Google acts as an independent controller of this data. How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

UK and EU: the app asks for consent on first launch. Change it any time in the app's Settings. After you buy Remove Ads, the advert code no longer starts and nothing is sent to Google.

Weather

If you choose a place for weather, its coordinates (rounded to four decimal places) are sent to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (api.met.no) to fetch the forecast. No identifier is sent with it. MET Norway privacy.

Friends

Friend links and nearby play connect iPhones directly over the local network or Bluetooth. They carry your pet's name and look, nothing else, and never pass through our servers.

Widgets and Live Activities

Widgets and the Dynamic Island read the pet's state from storage on your iPhone. Nothing leaves the device.

Reminders

If you turn on the reminder, your iPhone schedules it. Nothing is sent to us.

Purchases

Handled by Apple. We never see payment details.

Children

Pixel Pals is not in the App Store Kids Category and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you (normally nothing beyond emails you send us) and ask us to delete it. Email support@pixelowl.dev. UK users can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
